Questions about the Clue42 System

What is the clue42 system

It is a website creation system that seperates the content and all the otehr parts of a website - so you can focus on creating great content and the system will make sure it's in a well formated HTML layout that is formatted to look great.

What are the benefits of useing the clue42 system

Turn arround time on making a site - upload the clue42 files and your content and the site is complete. Clue42 detects your pages within the selected directory and automatically links to them all. You can edit the content at any time and add unlimited pages to it without needing to worry about title tags, css or anything else not related to the content. On a commercial system even the adverts are taken care of for you.

What are the system requirements?

You will need a system that is running Apache webserver and PHP. In theory the system can easily be made to run with other Webservers that support a few basic features (URL rewriting) but these are currently not supported.

How do you install clue42?

Fill out your preferences in the settings file and then use your favourate FTP client and upload the files. There are not many files so it is very quick. That's it - you are good to go. On one or two systems you may wish to make some minor changes but nine times out of ten that is all you need to do

How do I use different styles?

You have choice - you can edit the render file yourself (not recomended) or you can get your web designer to write you a new style sheet. The system uses the "one theme" by default and so is dead easy to style in all sorts of ways.

How much is the Clue42 system?

We do two versions the no-derivitives non-commercial creative commons release and the commercial release. The commercial release comes with full support and permision to use the system to make money while using it. The exact pricess are yet to be announced.

How many sites can I use my purchased copy of clue42 with?

We will support just one site. Otherwise we could find ourselves doing 90 lots of support for one customer and have no time for another. That would not be fair and so we will support just one.

How will I get my copy?

The whole script is so small that we will probably email it to you.

What add on software is there?

Currently under development is a simple wysiwyg file editor. It will be made available under an open source license.
